I like you a LOT [3GJ]

I'm writing this DT post  for 3GirlJAM today and there is a whopping 3" of snow on the ground at my house!
{It's Wednesday now, but by the time this post is live it is supposed to be 50 degrees!}
That's a very big deal for Eastern, NC…tired of hearing about snow?  Me too…
So, I thought I'd bring you some warm florals accented with some fabulous elements today instead of snowmen or icicles!
I had warm and whimsical in mind with this card and by george,  I do believe I got it. I like the sentiment too… a lot!
Layers and layers of flowers, buttons and flair all mixed in with some black and white faux stitching,  twine and some lovely 3GirlJAM ribbon and...here we go.  This piece is actually quite slender measuring 3.5" X 8.5" but I managed to get all of my pieces in there nicely.
This card started out as a headache for me, but now I'm looking at it and quite pleased.
I think you'll also be pleased to know that you can grab some flair like the chevron piece I used as my floral center AND the crinkle ribbon you see tied up in a double bow at 3GirlJAM, in the shop now. There are lots of new treasures and you can get a 10% discount as well when you use the code DB10 at the check out!  Sweet deal, eh?!
Thanks for letting me share today…
I'll list all of my supplies and challenges I'm entering for you below!
'til next time…

Paper Sweeties January Challenge

Hey there!
Hope you are nice and cozy today.
We've had some cold weather in Eastern, NC today…I know, I know all of our Northern friends are groaning as I say that…but we do live in the South on the COAST…
so I prefer warm, thank you very much!
Ok, enough chit chat...
Here is a sweet little lady that I put together for the Paper Sweeties January Inspiration challenge.
I have to laugh at the shade of her skin…don't hold it against me but I just could NOT get it right, friends! I can't even blame it on the photo…she's just really PINK-ish
I made this card for a very special someone and she liked it so that's all that counts right?!
I hope you'll pop over and join the challenge.
Ms. Debbie has a wonderful prize for the winner each month not to mention all of the amazing talent over on her blog.

Lace and Hearts [SS]

Sharing a little SweetStamps.com love with you today.
The challenge this week is
 Lace & Hearts
I went with a country feel with this design, it's kind of warm and cozy
with some Americana going on.
Love these patchwork looking stamps…they certainly aren't just for Valentine's Day.
I paper pieced the patches and created a lace ruffle trim with my score tape.
I added coordinating paper to the inside, but left it completely blank so this is perfect for just about any occasion.
The whole thing looks sort of quilt-ish…don't you think?

Friends with Flair

Happy Friday!
I enjoy playing along {when I can} with this challenge.
There are always so many great projects linked up.
The Unity Stamp sentiment I'm including on my card today is designed by Phyllis Harris.
It's from the "face the sunshine" set.
I think it goes nicely with my canvas bird die cut.
A friend lost her father recently and I made this card for her.
It's simple, but says a lot I think.
Thanks for peeking in on me today…
'til next time..

I freakin' love you - sketch challenge [lb]

Fun, fun!
There's a sketch challenge at Linnie Blooms!
Below you see the sketch…
not too bad, eh?  You can do this!!
Linnie Blooms January Sketch Challenge
I came up my Valentine by using the sketch as my guide.
I used two Linnie Blooms shape canvas pieces in the design of this card.
I think the sentiment is pretty hilarious, too.
I'd like to give this card to my husband, but he keeps seeing my projects so not sure if I can sneak this one past him.
I've incorporated canvas, paper, string fibers and even some bling here.
I love how the paints change up the canvas in any style you want…too fun.
Hope you will take the plunge and join the challenge too….click HERE for more info.
Thanks for stopping by today..
I freakin' love you!

Love - Anything Goes #153 [SS]

The challenge at SweetStamps.com this week is
- Anything Goes -
so I went with a Love theme.
I love how this card turned out, don't you "love" when you have one of those type of creative days?!
Here's a close up of that amazing stamp Love Birds collage ATC.
I added some stickles to a few places to enhance the birds and bird cage.
The inside is just as important as the outside when you make a keepsake card like this one.
So I dolled it up as well.
I think this card is perfect for a Valentine or anniversary or wedding…what's your take?

How do you love that wide lace ribbon?…..Seriously…. I swoon!!!
It's a new item at 3GirlJAM and you will be able to get your hands on some very soon.
I think it worked out perfectly layered with the crinkle ribbons as the band for my card.
I used a stamp kit from Unity Stamp Company on this "Z Fold" card and bag.
I was shooting for a romantic card/gift…how did I do?
You can find the bags…and the ribbons {new items available SOON} and a wonderful selection of buttons in the 3GirlJAM shop.

Kiss Me [SS]

Today starts the new monthly challenge at SweetStamps.com
The theme this month is *Kissing Technique* and you can see more lovely design team creations using this technique on the SweetStamps.com challenge blog right HERE
I am brand spankin' new to this technique so I had to do a little search to figure out how to do it. I think that is the BEST thing about doing a "challenge" is that is forces you to step outside your box and do something completely different.  Fun stuff...
Here is a link if you'd like to see a tutorial on how I created my butterfly.
The only think I did a bit differently was just *dabbing* the Montego Bay ink around the edge of the stamp to help it show up a bit more.  I love how the Beautiful day words show up.
For the inside I just stamped the Large Butterfly in Antique Linen ink and then stamped over it with the Beautiful Day sentiment.
I'm pleased with this technique and I am already thinking of ways to try this again!
I hope you'll scoot over to the SweetStamps.com challenge blog and join in this month.
Thanks for taking time out to stop by and say hello.
'til next time
Have a Beautiful Day!

[SS] Winter Blues Challenge 152

Happy Tuesday!
It's Winter Blues Day {week} at SweetStamps.com

In keeping with that theme I used an embossed piece of mediterranean color paper to create this 4.5X4.5" card with a bright white base.
I added a piece of feminine,  sheer ruffled trim, multi colored twine, scattered a few rhinestones and finally a paper rose to the outer cover.
The inside has the same Elegant Leaves die cut as the outside cover, just in reverse with the Happy Winter sentiment stamped in Mediterranean Ink to complete my card.
