It's Friday... Have a Nice Daisy!

Today is a good day....

I've been practicing starting my day with that saying for two weeks.
You know.... the whole "power or positive thinking" thing.
You should try it... I've found it makes me smile first thing.
So... on that note I will wish you a Happy Friday and I hope that you Have a Nice Daisy!

I'm linking this sweet card up over at the Sweet Stamps Challenge #119 - Flowers
You can get these darling daisies and sentiment there too.
Til next time...

i {heart} hoo

I {heart} hoo is a cute little number that I came up with so I could play along with the challenge over at the Sweet Stamps Blog.  It's a 4"X4" card with a black base super glitter matte and white embossed top.  I used some funky glittery letter stickers (sorry I don't have the brand) and punched out a glitter heart and mounted it on 3D adhesive with a black background circle.
The die is the kicker here... so tiny and cute, eh?! I used the "Owl Friends" die and you can find that HERE.  These owls are so adorable and you can create them in any color you like.  I just cut them out on a white piece and used black for the overlay.  I used Copic Pen and Diamond Stickles to bling them up.

Be sure to stop by and check out all the talent going on with the Sweet Stamps Blog Challenge #118.

Thanks for stopping by today.. I hope you're day is a fabulous one!!

Recycled Beauty and a Celebration

Hey friends!!

I am here with one of the most fun and fast little projects I've done in a LONG time.

But, before I tell you about this piece I wanted to share with you an amazing celebration at Down the Memory Lane blog.  You see... DTML is having a 1 year Blog Birthday celebration and the lovely and talented Nupur is featuring several artists over the next few days and I am next on her list.
You should pop over there, check out her amazing give aways and see all the talent on display from ALL over the world.

Now... for my project.
My friend Paula was so generous to host a craft day at her "cove" last weekend.
My mom and I spent the day chit chatting and creating and Paula was so kind as to do a quick class on a recycled mini album. I was just so tickled with the finished project and I hope you are too.

This is a 4 page mini album created using... are you ready???
Toilet paper rolls!
This may not be new to some of you crafty folks, but it was to me and I was so excited it as we assembled each element.  Who knew something like a toilet paper roll would end up so beautiful?

Each page has an opening and holds a special tag for you to write a memory, attach a photo or your mementos.

I think that it's the perfect size for your wallet size photos. I thought this would be a great way to display some photos of the military men in my family since Memorial Day is coming up.

I hope you've enjoyed my project.
Special thanks to Paula @ Scrap Your World for her patience and creative guidance.
You can see an example of one of her albums HERE.

Have a wonderful day and create something beautiful!!

I miss you lots

Hello and Happy Saturday!!

I have a super fun and silly card for you today...
How cute is my Girlie Big Foot?!!
The stamp set{s} are from the Alley Way Stamps. I used the new Deep in the Woods set for my girlie big foot (notice her gilttery toes?!) and the sentiment is from the Delicate Doilies set.  I'm playing along with TAWS RE-Be Inspired #28 today.  The inspiration photo is shown below... do you see where I was headed with my frilly ribbons and wood grain background embossed piece? The "chomps" out of the corners looked like the ruffles at the end of the bed coverlet to me.  That's what inspiration is all about, right..your take on things. Well here you have it.  Be sure to stop by TAWS and check out their fun challenges if you have a minute... you'll find tons of inspiration over there.

Ok... that's it for me.  I JUST finished a 51 mile bicycle ride with the hubs and this girl is BEAT!
Enjoy your day today!

Happy Birthday ~ Pinque Peacock DT Post

Good Morning!!!

Today is my turn for a post on the Pinque Peacock Blog.
I've done a variety of Birthday cards recently in celebration of my "baby" girls' 25th birthday.
I feel fortunate that my family members seek out my card making skills when they are in need of a special card.  This is one of THREE that I created for the lovely miss and I hope you enjoy it.

The "special" feature is that lovely little button with the mini roses.
That my friends is a Pinque Peacock item and you can pick some up for yourself by visiting HERE.
The buttons come in eyelet back or flat backs.  I prefer the flat for most of my projects.

Happy Mother's Day

A pretty boquet for Mom today... Because my mom is so special to me.

I created this card with lots of layers and it's not a standard size card but I love how it folds and I think my mom will too.
{{I always get "nervous" when I make a card for someone who is also a card artist.}}

I hope you enjoyed your visit today and that your day is WONDERFUL in every way!

Happy 25th Birthday Special Someone!

Someone very special is turning 25 in just a few days.
Having fun with a few of my favorite challenges has been such a motivator for me to
get ahead of schedule making cards and having them done on time.
This card is one of my FAVORITES this spring.

I used a "freebie" from The Alley Way Stamps for the sentiment... how cool is it that?

I chose the stripe paper from Sassafrass for the main part of this card.
Pulled out my Copic Pens to shade the stripes on the sentiment in the opposite direction.
The Ribbon is from 3GirlJAM.
I also used a few buttons from 3GirlJAM vintage estate button pack.
The " 25 " was cut with my trusty old Cricut that barely gets used.... shame on me, right?

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a GREAT weekend!!

Pun Intended ~ Chairs To You

I'm having a blast with Tara's Linky Parties at Craftin Desert Diva's these days.
I've found that I have a few
... and I mean a few... {because I can't handle more than that}
challenges that have really caught my attention the past few months.
Do you do stick with a few favorites or are you all over on challenges? Curious minds want to know!

The theme for the Craft It Up & Link It Up #5 is  ... P U N ...  could have you have already guessed by the title of my post???

I pulled out one of my older stamp sets that have barely seen INK and came up with ...
Chairs to you!
It's a 4X4" card with a teeny tad of an overhang with the patterned paper.
I wanted something besides the standard A2 style card this time.
I hope you like it?!

Thanks for coming by today.
