Let's Toast

Hey sweet friends!

Thanks for stopping by today. I'm sharing with you a gift gift tag I created for today's post over at Pinque Peacock.  I love dressing up all kinds of bottles with tags. They make such nice hostess gifts.  This tag is embellished with one of my FAVORITE buttons from the April New Releases at Pinque Peacock.  Yes, I  {{L. O. V. E.}}  the colors and fabrics used on these buttons.

I added a few stamped images and aged the edges to give the card a vintage feel.

The sentiment is great for any occasion.

Be sure to stop by the Pinque Peacock shop and take a peek at the variety of fabric buttons, you'll love 'em!!

Thanks for taking time to drop in today, be sure to leave me some comment love, it really makes my day.
Hope your day is FABULOUS!!

Mark your calendars for the May Release!!

Orange You Glad It's Friday BE Inspired #26

I'm playing along with the Alley Way Stamps BE Inspired #26 Challenge today.

Is that inspiration photo yummy or what?! I love Orange, it says summer and warm and FUN!

So... for my card I used a TAWS Freebie... I have a HUGE wish list of TAWS stamps.
Maybe for Mother's Day I'll find a set or FIVE when I wake up?
I think this cheery and bright card is perfect for a Welcome Home or a New Home Greeting.

I didn't do the traditional size on this card.  It measures 9.25" X 3.75".

I used a Tim Holtz die to cut the notebook edging.
Copic Pens for color.

And... One last thing I'd like to share with you on my ORANGE weekend is group photo from the MS Walk Event that my husband and I participated in this weekend.  Yes... ORANGE tutus in honor of our team

So... *ORANGE* you glad you stopped by???
I sure hope so.

Be sure to stop by The Alley Way Stamps blog for some more orang-Y inspiration.

Til next time...

My Creative Studio Space - Guest Post - My Polka Dotted Bliss

Hello friends!  Donna K here and I just wanted to say thanks for stopping by today and allowing me to share my studio space with you.  I'd like to give a great big THANK YOU to my sweet and talented friend Kimberly at My Polka Dotted Bliss
for inviting me to bring you into the teeny corner of my creative world.

My studio doubles as our guest room.  As we set up our home I didn't really have a budget for my space. We just kind of went with it and tried to make the most of the furniture and storage items I had on hand.  I occupy this room the majority of the time, but this spring it has been BUSY! We've had lots of guests.  This is a good thing because it forces me to get organized and actually put things away!

I enjoy being in this room because it's in the front of the house.  There are lots of windows and it allows me to daydream  .... errr ahhh .... create with the view of the birdies and squirrels.   I have a table that was once our kitchen table.  We didn't have space for it in the actual kitchen so YAY me... it became all mine!  It's sturdy and big and I love it.   On the wall beside that table is the wall shelf that matches the table.  Yes, it's another kitchen/dining room piece, but it works perfectly for holding my baskets of stickers, tags and my stamps. Yes... I hoard  collect stamps. No favorite brand... I love them all.

In the closet you will find 12X12 papers, embellishments, and all sorts of tools. It is slam packed full and no matter how hard I try to keep it organized, things tend to end up spread out on the floor.
As many times as I say I'm going to put everything away when I start a new project, I get on a roll and before I know it BOOM... it looks like a windstorm struck.

This white cabinet is one of my favorite pieces. It has 6 large drawers for tons of storage. I keep my wooden stamps in here and all of my metal embellishments as well. It's an IKEA piece and was fairly inexpensive. The top is great for holding my Big Shot and my paperwork.

Another piece of  kitchen gear is the "microwave" cart.  It's perfect for my Cricut that doesn't get used nearly enough.  I'm thinking of switching it out for something that gets used more often.

As you can see I have to make the best of my "space"  I use the dresser for storing my mailing supplies, alterables and other tin items.  If we have extended visitors I can just put all of that stuff neatly in a bin so the dresser is available to guests.

Check out this disaster zone after a day of working on orders!!

Below you can see the "before" photos as I was preparing to set up my new space.

Right now I'm not planning on anything new in my studio space.  I'd LOVE hard wood floors and to have the entire room to myself eventually.  I feel so fortunate that I have a pretty place to work and spend my time.
Thank you for letting me bring you into my world for a bit.
Please leave a comment about your creative work space.

Have a happy day today!

~Donna K

Kind Words. Thoughtful Message.

Kind Words can be short and easy to speak,
but their echoes are truly endless.

Is there anything else that needs to be said other than that beautiful quote from Mother Teresa?
Not really...
so I'll just leave the info about this card at the bottom of the post.
I hope you'll leave a comment today and more importantly that you have a BEAUTIFUL day!

Thank you to my friend Mae Lynn Morton for the use of her stamp set.
It's an old one from Stampin'UP and I have no idea what the name of the set is, sorry.

April Showers

Good morning friends.
I just wanted to say a quick WELCOME and hello to the newest friends & followers!
I'm so glad you're here.
I pulled this stamp from some of my older "stash" because I'm TRYING to use some of those neglected stamps that I just "had to have" She's from My Favorite Things / Who's that Girl line.  I paper pieced the jacket, boots and the doggie sweater using October Afternoon. I shaded her hand, jacket trim, legs and that little pooch with Copic Pens.  Tied  some baker's twine around a red button and made a double bow using 3 Girl JAM ribbon from the Harvest Bundle pack.  Sunflower yellow goes perfectly with these papers.
You know I had to add a little touch to the inside.
Now this rainy day girl is ready to be mailed off to an under the weather friend.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Pretty In Pink

Hello friends!
I was trying my hand at a "chalk board" style card.
I came up with this beauty and even though she is SO not perfect, she is still pretty in my eyes.

I think my FAVORITE part aside from the stamp...
is the bow with the yummy ribbon,  pinstripe button and how about that cute hanger charm?

And she is pretty on the outside AND the inside with the coordinating envelope and lining.

Thank you for stopping by today and letting me share.

Cheers To You!

Hello friends!
Today I'm brining you a sweet little number inspired by my fellow Pinquette, Teresa K and our delicious mutual friend the Margarita.

This card is a 4X4" square and the real highlight is that yummy multi-colored pin tucked under the sentiment.
Is it a Pinque Peacock product ???... why of course, it is!
I think it would be a darling little drink stirrer as well, don't you?

An added extra to this card is a coordinating envelope.
I hope you've enjoyed my card today. If you haven't been by the Pinque Peacock blog yet, stop by and say hello!

Cheers to you!!
