Did someone say Happy Hour?

I'm not quite sure why I'm thinking of appletinis before 9am, but I couldn't help myself.  I've been thinking of some fun and simple cards for the adults on my list and this is what I came up with.  Fun and sassy, don't you think?

I've had this stamp set for a few years.  It's from MFT and it's called "Merry Christmas"  I'm thinking it may be retired, but not quite sure.  They have wonderful stamps if you've never shopped there, you might want to give it a look-see.

From this angle you can see how I used the Diamond Glaze on the drink and the red decoration.  It adds some shimmer and depth to the card without making it too chunky.  A simple candy stripe bow and viola!

This card is available in my ETSY shop or you can contact me if you'd like to place an order.

Don't forget you can find Created by DonnaK on Facebook.

Have a sassy day...I'm off to run errands.  I guess that Appletini will have to wait.

Yes...it's TRUE...45 *sleeps* until Christmas.   I worked like a little elf on these super fun Santa treats yesterday. So fun and festive..a great hostess gift, party favor or stocking stuffer.

The red Santa suit is cut with a pillow box die from Sizzix.
Wrapped up in a white satin bow.
Black card stock for the belt, shimmer silver glitter paper for the buckle and add two little rhinestones.
Tuck in a fun size candy for the perfect Santa Surprise.

Thanks for letting me share.

There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays

Here's a peek at a few things I have been working on this weekend.  More Graphic45 paper, this time in the "Magic of Oz" collection.  This particular collection of paper is in a Halloween theme, but I thought it would be nice for some holiday gifts.  The stamped *Courage* sentiment is from Verve.

 Journaling is always popular and these altered composition books offer plenty of writing/drawing space.  {This journal is approximately 9.75" X 7.5"}

A journal with a nifty tag (I added sparkles to her ruby slippers because Dorothy wouldn't want them any other way) ...  what a cool way to say Merry Christmas, eh?!  These items will be available at the upcoming craft shows on November 19.

Be sure to stop by and say hello on Facebook or check out my ETSY shop by clicking HERE.
Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

Teacher's Week in Donna K's Studio Corner continued....again!

Yikes!  I wonder if anyone is thinking...  "Geeze!  Another post of Teacher items?"  But...I do have a good reason.  Holidays are coming up and Teacher gifts are never out of style.  So, here's one last post this week to share with you what I've created.   My table is filling up and I'm getting more and more excited about the craft shows coming up.

Quite a collection of cards, tags and note pads, don'tcha think?!

These are altered mini spiral note pads.  I picked them up at Staples and they cut them in half for me at the store.  These are just PERFECT for the purse or desk top.

The inside has been covered as well to coordinate with the outside paper.

More tags...they are so fun and versatile!  Add them to any gift or give as is.  These tags are great for scrapbook pages as well.  That's all I have for today.

I hope you are enjoying your Friday.  It's time for a much needed coffee break.  Until next time...

Teacher's Week in Donna K's Studio Corner continued....

Altered note pads galore this week with more Graphic45 paper.  I can't get enough of these papers.  This composition book is one of my favorites...wait...I think I say that too much.  "One of my favorites"  How about this is *another* of my favorites?  That's better.  I covered the back and inside covers of this book, adorned the outside with ribbon and a "token" that says Knowledge.  Perfect for the teacher who spends so much time with the little people in our lives.  I added a metal eyelet and seam binding for a closure, this book can be stuffed with notes, photos, memos etc...

The back shows a better view of the eyelet and ribbon closure.

AND then...I made a small note spiral pad along with a card to match.

The papers used are all Graphic45 aside from the craft card stock.  The stamps are by Papertrey Ink.

I hope you enjoy your day...Stay tuned for a little treat later this week.  Snowman Kisses in the making!
