Happy New Year!

Since I have been enjoying much needed family time instead of crafting I thought I might post a few photos. I got some pretty awesome gifts from my Santa...one being a new lens for my Canon. I'm just tickled to death with. Now I just need to learn to use it! The Aperture program is the next biggie that I need to learn how to use. {{I think I need a few classes!}} Yes as you can see by our mailbox....we had snow on Christmas in North Carolina! Just as we were heading to Raleigh for a family outing and Hurricanes Game!

This is us...all 5 of us for the first time at Christmas in 6 years!
(Plus Teddy)

This would be Teddy. He doesn't like my camera.

I hope that your Christmas was blessed and that whatever celebration you happen to enjoy was warm and filled with love. I appreciate the holidays more and more as I get older. I will be back with another post or two before my crafting chaos begins.

Whirl~Wind Week

I took a quick trip with my daughter up north to see family. Every now and again I get the urge to get some hugs from those little nieces and nephews of mine and this time I followed that urge right up to Indiana and then on to Michigan for more!

We had a great time, sledding, eating way too much and lots of laughter. I even had the chance to do some shopping at the local craft store in Mishawaka, IN.

One of the best days was a quick trip to Chicago. My brother in law drove a van full of us up for the day and it was simply...amazing. Navy Pier was so pretty, it was COLD, but sunny and actually one of the warmer days of the week.

Good times and lots of memories. After all...that's what holidays are all about, right?

I'll get back to crafting after Christmas....we have all three of our {adult} children with us this year so that is my focus until our Soldier heads back to his duty station after Christmas.

I hope you and yours have a warm, happy and healthy holiday.

Be Blessed

I think I can...I think I can...

Two more days until my first craft show. I'm excited and a tad bit anxious. I am just about ready to go, just a few more gift card holders to make along with my signs with pricing information. This has been really fun, not sure if I'll ever do it again.....oh heck, I just might!

{{A little note about my display...the lighting isn't the greatest in my living room, but I used it as my practice area. I just have to crack up at my little Teddy in the back ground. I promise he is not sitting on the table..he's on the arm of the sofa behind the table. He's just so nosey!}}

Big Joe put together my peg board on Sunday...cut it down small enough to fit nicely on a 6' table. I added some dark brown spray paint. (Yes...I must have been thinking chocolate!) I got my fabric yesterday and some brightly colored ribbon to run my tags together that display my name on top of the pegboard.

Thanks again to those who have helped me out, advised me and cheered me on.

Wish me luck on this journey. Better yet...if you are local, please come say hi at the show.

Below is a photo of the fabric I used on the bottom of my table. The pictures I took don't show the colors nearly as bright as they are in person.
