April Showers bring May Flowers?

Where did April GO? Things have been crazy at my house the past few weeks. I don't know where to begin. We have been very busy, our 28th Anniversary, our daughter's 22nd birthday and a wonderful trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. My husband recently put in to retire from the Marine Corps...after 29 years our lives will definitely be heading in a new direction. With all that said, yes...I have been working on a few projects in my "spare" time. Here we go....

The colors on this sweet note book didn't quite come out in the photo as well as I had hoped. I should have taken the pic outside, but it was dark before I knew it. 50 lashes for me!

I used the Belle Cafe' stack from DCWV. I have a wonderful friend who loves Dachshunds (hence the Dapple Dachshund logo on my blog) I couldn't help think of her with these cute pooches as a border for the bottom. The stamp is another of my faves from MFT called Tote-ally Fantastic. Who can resist a cute puppy and a cute hand bag? I used my copic pens to color her in with greens, browns and a splash of red for good measure. I can't get enough of altered notebooks...

Card Swap Masculine Birthday...I guess I'm in the canine mood lately....but you have to admit these dogs are pretty adorable! Again with the MFT Stamps this one is called "Let's go for a Walk" in the Who's that Girl line. The wandering paw prints were purchased at Scrap N' Oasis right here in our own little town of New Bern. The paper is by Three Bugs in a Rug called To The Rescue. I put the art work on an angle bordered with red to help it stand out. The dog collars have little rhinestone embellishments for some sparkle. The ribbon is a check print and I honestly can't remember where I purchased it. I need to get better about that.....

How about these sexy legs? After a long day of yard work this card is exactly what I'm thinking! I always go back to the bright pink and greens. They just seem so cheery to me. I had a few scrap papers that I used to match up with the lime green card stock on this card. Add a little button and some sparkles and there you have it. I should buy stock in MFT I think! This set is called "Time for Bubbly" and it's simply adorable! That's it for me tonight. Stay tuned for more information on the Dapple Dachshund...
