The Bride and Groom

Weddings are a big part of this time of year as we all know. Two of our very special friends with are getting married this summer so that sparked me to get a few cards ready for the occasion. I used this same stamp for my brother's wedding invites last September. It seems I am always attracted to browns so of course here we go again with a brown card. I saw on one of my favorite TV shows that brown is a calming color, maybe that is my attraction?

The stamp is by inkadinkado. I used my cuttlebug to create the texture on the bottom half of the card. I'm a big flower person, guess it's the girlie in me so I added these which have a softness against the off white card stock. Oh, the little dew drops add some shine to the project.

Time to get with it....

I have decided that I should get out the cards I've been working on and snap a few pictures. I keep telling myself to update my blog at least once a week and then life gets hectic and I don't do it. Here are a few of the projects I've been working on recently.

With wedding season upon us I thought a few of these might be necessary. I just put together some pretty pink and brown pieces from basic gray, onto a 4x6 card of off white. Added a cute little flower after stitching with brown thread for some depth. My stamp was from stampendous and it is called Wedding Party Set.

Spring has sprung!

I cannot believe how fast the days have gone. Seems like just yesterday I was wishing for warm weather. Now the air is filled with pine pollen ...but...the up side of it all is the lovely flowers that are in bloom, right here in my own yard. I took a pic of these azaleas last week and they are still going strong. We've already had one trip to the beach, the first of many, I'm sure. I hope your flowers are in bloom...in your yard and in your heart!
